Writer, Director and Producer

Dan is an award-winning writer, director, novelist and playwright with a background in languages and cosmology. He began his career at BBC Radio, where he produced Sean Lock's first series and directed the Radio 4 version of Dante's Inferno. He created the World's first webcast, for which he won the SWPA Gold Award for Drama (jointly with Michael Frayn). He won a Parsec Award for The Minister of Chance, and his play A Joke was a sellout success at The Edinburgh Festival. He has directed several short films and commercials.

Art Director

Dave trained at the Slade School of Fine Art, and is an acclaimed contemporary artist exhibiting regularly at Saatchi's and over 40 other galleries in the UK. He has created the look of hundreds of stage productions, concerts, TV shows, operas and films, as well as title sequences, VFX and physical models. He lectures internationally on fine art.

Senior Web Strategist

Bobbie is our digital marketing guru, bringing a forensic expertise in tactics, applied data analysis and SEO. She has crafted data-driven strategies for global brands including Oliver Bonas, Le Chameau, Levi’s and Gucci. She is an expert in conversion rate optimisation (CRO). With an Msc in Cyberpsychology, and a degree in Law, she brings a unique skillset and commercial advantage to Secret Planet.

Senior Customer Strategist

Tom has a successful track record of applying powerful commercial strategy in consumer-facing digital transformation, digital marketing, branding, fundraising and investment, all with an emphasis on digital and an associated progressive business strategy. This includes, more recently, cutting edge AI deployments with large ROIs.

Producer

Simon graduated with a BA (Hons) from Liverpool John Moores University and is a working actor as well as a producer.

He has extensive experience in the financial services industry. He worked for a number of FCA-regulated businesses, including Morgan Stanley and as Senior Local Business Manager at Barclays Plc. He has experience as an investor in regulated business and has also successfully run a number of his own businesses in diverse sectors.

Costume & Models

Amanda has 25 years in Film and Television and is an enormously accomplished costume and model designer and maker. She has been Head of Department on legendary productions from Wes Anderson's Fantastic Mr Fox to Guillermo del Toro's Pinocchio. She has also worked on Tim Burton's Corpse Bride, Frankenweenie and The Clangers, along with many other commercials and TV series.

Creature FX

Our staff also includes the legendary William Todd-Jones, widely respected as a leading expert in Creature FX. He has worked on Batman, The Neverending Story, The Chronicles of Narnia, Lost in Space, Little Shop of Horrors, John Carter, The Hitchhiker's Guide to The Galaxy and His Dark Materials, and began his career with the great Jim Henson.

Production Manager

Deb has worked in the West End, on site-specific productions; run conferences for Archbishop Tutu as well as fringe shows, drama school work, props-making workshops and corporate events. Recent work includes running  Viennas English Theatre Academys ‘Macbeth’ and working alongside students at  Mountview and Italia

Conti drama schools. 

Welsh Mythology Expert

Gwilym is a renowned Welsh language scholar. He hosts the popular Celtic Source podcast and teaches courses on Celtic mythology and folklore. He has worked as a research fellow at the Library of Congress, Washington DC
